Darrin Brager

Darrin received his Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Florida and a Master’s in Biological Sciences from Florida Atlantic University. Darrin received his PhD in Physiology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. Following a postdoctoral position at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, he joined the faculty at the University of Texas at Austin. After 18 years at UT, Dr. Brager moved his lab to the School of Life Sciences here at UNLV. Dr. Brager is also a member of the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Neuroscience at UNLV.

Dr. Brager’s lab focuses on the cellular mechanisms that regulate synaptic plasticity and intrinsic excitability. The lab employs a variety of electrophysiological approaches to investigate synaptic transmission and voltage-gated ion channels.

Alyssa Marron

Alyssa received her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Austin.
